why is lowbrow called as such!?
Lowbrow was a term coined by Robert Williams to describe his own art. It was sort of a counter-reaction to highbrow art and was used to name his book, “The Lowbrow Art of Robert Williams”. The term had stuck since then and has been used to describe art with similar aesthetic. (via rrrribsarecages)
